I offer an initial 45 minute assessment for which there is no charge. We can use this time to start to get to know each other, discuss your hopes and goals for therapy and decide if we are able to work together. You may decide to go to someone else, or I may decide that I don’t have the right skills for you. If this is the case I will do my best to refer you to someone who may be more able to help you.
Sessions are usually weekly and last for1 hour. Depending on your goals we can work to a time frame or have an open-ended plan which continues for as long as you need. This is something we’ll discuss when we first meet and throughout as we continue to work together.
Sessions are normally face to face as I believe that therapy requires relational connectedness which is harder to create and feel a part of in an online setting. I do now incorporate some Zoom sessions to accommodate the restrictions of the Covid19 pandemic and needs of the client.
Sessions last for 1hr and cost £50 per session. Payment is to be made by bank transfer prior to the session starting. I require at least 24 hours notice of cancellation, otherwise you will be expected to pay in full. Some limited concessions are available to those on a low income. Please ask for details.
Once we have made a decision to work together, I will ask you to sign a working agreement which confirms where and when your sessions will take place. It confirms my registration with the BACP, gives information of the ethical framework and details the limitations to confidentiality. It will also confirm the fee, payment details and the cancellation policy.
